Tonyz Tops Shaving Stuffs

Proraso shaving soap and brush

I find the Proraso is pretty good shaving soap and is fairly cheap.  Just using a standard cheap brush for now but will upgrade in the future, still topz though.

Merkur double edged safety razor

I’ve used everything from disposable razors through the mach 3 and up to all the 5 razor bladers.  None of them come even close to the Merkur.  Easy to clean, easy to change razors, and very comfortable.  You can get shorter handles, but I opted for the longest handle since its heavier, I like how you dont need to put much pressure down, the weight of the handle helps the razor smoothly glide down you’re face.

Merkur razor blades

About $9 for a pack of 10.  These guys are extremely sharp and makes the five blade Fusion look like child’s play.  If you want to man up, try shaving with these bad boys!!  Luckily the safety razor does a great job of angling the razor down so we dont kill ourselves!

Razor change

As you can see here the blades are easy to change.  You can screw down the handle tighter  or lighter depending on the angle you prefer to shave…just be careful to not go to tight as you might snap the razor.

Baxter after shave

This takes the Topz cake for all after shaves!! No alcohol, all natural smells amazing and keeps the face clean, smooth and refreshed.  Price is a bit steeper than regular aftershaves at about $20 for a 120 ml bottle, but well worth it and the bottle should last as you dont need to use much.

hope you liked me topz shaving stuff!

Topz Croatian towns to visit on the Adriatic

24 07 2011

Rovinj, Croatia

Rovinj is situated in the northwest corner of Croatia, not too far from the Italian border.  Throughout it’s history this town has changed hands many times going back and forth between the Ottoman Empire, Roman Empire and Kingdom of Croats (and probably a few more kingdoms as well!!).  Today it belongs to Croatia, but its not hard to notice the Italian background in the region with many Italian street names as well as Italian speaking residents.  Within a 10 minute walk of the town, there are kms and kms of private rocky beaches and crystal clear water, rent a bike and go as far as you want!! if you ride far enough the path will come up to some water slides!! Great food, historic beautiful town and amazing clean water!

Split, Croatia

Split, is your major hub on the coast, it has ferries to plenty of islands and is usually flooded with European tourists every summer.  You can check out the many shops through the narrow streets of the old Diocleatian palace, check out a Hajduk Split football match (must do!).  Also if you are craving some nightlife, hit up the Bacvice, beach by day, vibrant clubs by night!  And with amazing food on most corners, I always feel right at home here 🙂

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Simply, the golden jewel of Croatia and possibly the whole Adriatic.  Arguably the most beautiful town in Croatia, you have everything you need here.  Clean water, refreshing views, 5 star hotels, amazing seafood…all of this comes with a price though.  Villa’s now sell in the millions and Dubrovnik is becoming a rich mans town, there’s also the growing parade of cruise  ships lining up to park their ships in front of the city walls which hopefully will not pollute the surrounding waters.  This and the other two cities are must see’s.  However, there are also other great towns that i didn’t mention such as Trogir, Zadar and Makarska..all simply amazing in their own unique rights.

TzT’s musics I listened to this week

22 07 2011

I’m not putting the newest freshest coolest shit on here, just my topz plays I’ve enjoyed this week.

  EPMDStrictly Business

This album was an instant classic and always deserves to get replayed at least a few times a year in full!! It never disappoints with tracks like “Let The Funk Flow” and “You Gots to Chill“.  If your generation missed the boat on this one it’s time go pick up a copy of this bad boy.

Timecopz

These boys from Van have been tearing it up for a couple years now, check out some of their newer stuff on myspace.  “Outta Control” has become a crowd favourite and has quickly sprung them to the forefront of the local scene.  If your into Punky Garagey Hard Rock all mixed into one, you wont be disappointed.

Girl Talk – All Day

Even though this mash up has been out for 10 months already I still can’t stop listening to it! Solid album, with great samples from across the whole board from Fine Young Cannibals and Black Sabbath to Gloria Estefan and Nine Inch Nails.  Take some Jay Z and Gucci Mane, sprinkle in a little Notorious BIG in there and voila! I still don’t have to skip any tracks, enjoyable the whole way through 🙂

Okay okay, who else am I missing here?? Hmmm

hmmm, ah yes.. The Beach Fossils!!!

Man these guys are so good its ridiculous, just saw them live a few weeks and was not disappointed! I just can’t turn these guys off.  When I first heard them they sounded like they were from the west coast, possibly California, boy was I wrong.  Hailing from Brooklyn, this surfer rock style band always delivers be it on cd or live.  Like the Notorious say “If you don’t know, now you know..”
